It seems that the average goal and ambition of every man and woman
today is one thing and one thing only - to reach a point in their
life where they have to do absolutely NOTHING.
This is the illusion of success that everyone seems to have.
Everybody works like a slave just to reach that point in their
lives where they no longer have to lift a finger and can just sit
on the couch and live a leisure life in total luxury.
This idea seems to be what has been promised to us in America by
the old 40-40 rule of working 40 hours a week for 40 years while
putting back 40% of your income in order to retire one day and live
abundantly until you die. THIS IS AN ILLUSION. We have been
conditioned by this idea that if we work hard enough for peanuts
most of our lives, the government will in return see to it that we
never have to work a day ever again. However, according to obvious
present statistics, this is just not entirely accurate.
The reason for this is that real success does not happen by just
working yourself to death for the aim of comfort. Wealth and
success are ATTRACTED to sources of value. Let me repeat that: Real
wealth and success are attracted to sources of VALUE. This is
critical because the average person spends their life hard at work
chasing wealth instead of working smart in building value in
themselves in order to have wealth come to them.
There's a familiar saying that says necessity is the mother of all
inventions. This is powerful in the fact that every successful
businessman has achieved success off of an invention or idea that
supplied solutions for the NEEDS of somebody. This is how value is
created. If you don't have value, then your chances of obtaining
wealth become slim at best. You don't create value in just having
the aim of living luxurious one day. You create value by having the
aim of improving the overall condition of those around you first.
Before I had success online, this became the biggest light bulb
moment for me. Understand the power of being someone with value
through having something that people need and you will forever free
yourself from the illusion of working hard until retirement.
Instead of clinging to the idea of working for a single employer,
try working for the needs of everybody around you!
